Soledad O’Brien’s Pace Strides
Nothing is slowing down the demand or popularity of Soledad O’Brien.
Since THEFFECT’s post on February 21, 2013, O’Brien told the Business Insider that her departure from anchoring CNN’s morning show, “Starting Point” was amicable. O’Brien will continue to produce documentaries via her own production company, “Starfish Media”. Starfish and CNN have an agreement to air documentaries produced by O’Brien.
On March 1, 2013, O’Brien in a stunning South African gown, hosted the VIP black-tie screening of “Kunta Kinteh Island: Coming Home Without Shackles” at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta, GA.
The Associated Press reported on Monday that O’Brien will be giving an upcoming lecture at the College of the Holy Cross. O’Brien’s lecture honors the 40-year commemoration of the school’s acceptance of female students.
Soledad O’brien was not shy about the topic of anchoring. When interviewed by the Business Insider, O’Brien said, “I don’t think this closes the door on the chapter of me anchoring at all.”…I think it’s very likely I will take an anchoring gig somewhere down the line. … I like reporting. I like telling stories. And anchoring certainly is a big part of that.”
